When you’re a student at Furman, your calendar will be full.
Furman has around 150 clubs and organizations. Ultimate frisbee. WPLS
radio. Film clubs. Student government. Greek organizations. If you can
name it, there are probably a group of students who are involved it. If
not, find a few students who share your interest and start your own.
With more than 150 student organizations, there's not much you won't find at Furman. Our organizations and clubs run the gamut, and connect you with people who share your passion. If you can’t find a group that suits your needs, recruit a few students who share your interest and start your own. Get involved.
Furman has 13 active sororities and fraternities on campus. Unlike other
institutions, our Greek community does not rush new members until
the spring. This gives you an opportunity to become familiar
with your new surroundings before determining if a sorority or
fraternity is right for you. Join our Greek community.
Heller Service Corps
Essential to the Furman experience—both in and out of the classroom—is preparation for a life of consequence and meaning. Heller Service Corps, our largest student organization, encourages an in-depth commitment to
the community. Supported by a $1.5 million endowment, the organization
places more than 1,800 students in agencies serving the community each
year. From building homes to working with the underprivileged, there are dozens of ways to get involved. Volunteer with us.
The Shucker Center for Student Leadership
The Shucker Center for Leadership Development is a two-year program that guides emerging leaders through self-exploration, initiative, commitment, collaboration and experiential learning. It inspires students to explore their passions and become catalysts for change. Become a leader.
