All students may use MyFurman to adjust their course schedules as they see fit during designated periods identified on the Important Dates page. The Course Adjustment Process (CAP) is available for web-based transactions throughout the entire change period including the first seven class days of each semester. Consulting with your academic advisor about any changes you are considering is still a very good idea though. In fact, you won’t be able to execute any of the changes you are planning if your advisor has not cleared you to do so. The CAP tool is available via the ARMS for Students menu in the MyFurman portal. Follow the instructions provided on-line to navigate your way through the process.
Registration overrides (entry to full courses, instructor permission, prerequisite waivers, etc) require manual intervention. To do so, select "Forms and Worksheets" in the right hand navigation or stop by our office.
On the request: identify yourself by name and include your Furman ID number (printed on your ID card), mark changes you intend to achieve, secure appropriate signatures as indicated on the request, and submit in person at the Registrar's Office. A staff member will confirm that the request has been processed before you leave the office.
Any change to a first year seminar assignment must be completed manually through Academic Records and will occur strictly on a space available basis.
COURSES WILL NOT BE ADDED TO YOUR SCHEDULE AFTER THE
COURSE ADJUSTMENT PERIOD HAS CONCLUDED.
