Branches and Benches
A living tribute of grace & beauty
Branch & Bench Commemoratives at Furman
When you pass through the gates of Furman University, you find yourself immersed in the tranquility of giant oaks. Under this verdant canopy of noble trees, you experience first hand the vision of men and women who saw beyond the barren landscape of the 1950s to create a unique environment for living and leaning that would grow more lovely over the years. Now, decades later, you know they succeeded beyond measure.
Through the Living Tribute program, you may plant or adopt a tree or place a bench in a special spot on the campus in honor of a loved one or a special professor. In so doing, you link the honoree's name for all time with this legacy of grace and beauty.
The cost depends upon the size, variety and location of the tree or bench you select. Your gift covers the cost of purchasing, planting or placing and maintaining the tree or bench, as well as a commemorative plaque.
