Mix-It-Up
Day
April 19, 2007
Furman's Dining Hall
The
Riley Institute Advance Team (A-Team) organized and implemented
a Riley event, Mix-It-Up Day. The intent was to promote diversity
and conversation among Furman students by asking them to sit with
unfamiliar students as opposed to their standard group of friends;
the goal was to encourage the students to meet others while engaging
in dialogue. To accomplish this goal, each student, as they entered
the Dining Hall, was presented with a colored coupon that corresponded
to various sections of the Dining Hall with balloons of the same
color.
