Swimming
The goal of the Furman
Club Swim Team is to provide an opportunity for swimmers of all ability levels and background experiences to train and compete and have fun at the same time. Practices are offered from
Monday through Friday, at 7:00-9:00 AM and 4:30-6:30 PM at the university PAC
pool. Swimmers are not required
to attend a set number of hours; instead, each athlete chooses a practice level
(Gold/Silver/Bronze) which suggests a relevant practice schedule. The goal of Gold level swimmers is to train
at least once a day, swimming at least 5000 yards per practice (1.5-2 hours).
The goal of Silver level swimmers is 2-3 practices per week, swimming about
3000 yards per practice (1-1.5 hours), and the Bronze level goal is 2-3
practices per week at 2000 yards per practice (1 hour). MEET INFO The swim club will be
traveling to its first meet, "Radical Relays" at UGA on Oct. 4.
