Equestrian - IHSA Club Team
The Furman University Equestrian Team is a Club Sports organization administered under the Recreational Sports Office at Furman University. Any undergraduate full-time student at Furman University interested in the club sport is welcome, no experience required. The primary function of the club is to promote horsemanship and competition with our Intercollegiate Equestrian Team. The team competes in Zone 5 Region 2 of the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA). The Furman University Equestrian Team (FUET) consists of both a Hunt Seat and a Western team. The IHSA has something for everyone from riders who are just learning to ride to those who have gone to competitions in Eventing, Dressage, Reining, Jumpers, etc. As a team member of FUET, students ride once a week with team instructor Jodi Robertson. Most members prefer group lessons with other team members to promote unity and teamwork. However, private lessons are also available with our team instructors.
