266.5 Dining Hall Picnic Area

 

A. Background

The picnic area located behind Charles E. Daniel Dining Hall is in demand for campus and off-campus activities.

 

B. Policy

Activities being held in this area must be coordinated with Catering Services to ensure that all groups are accommodated as well as possible. Campus groups will be given first priority for the use of this area.

 

C. Guidelines

1. Groups using the picnic area must provide trash containers, keep the area clean, and make arrangements for trash disposal.

2. Arrangements for food must be coordinated through Catering Services. No outside caterers are permitted to provide service in this area.

3. Special restrictions for use of the picnic area include:

a: No vehicles are permitted in the area;

b. Picnic tables are not to be moved;

c. No fires, grills, etc., are permitted;

d. Tents may not be installed in the area without prior approval; and

e. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

4. Catering Services will coordinate with Facilities Services and Public Safety on the group's use of the picnic area.
