VISION CARE-Preferred Eye Care
In addition, faculty and staff have the option of obtaining a vision discount from Preferred Eye Care Providers for a $15 a year membership fee which covers the employee and their family (to be collected through a one-time payroll deduction). Application forms are available in the Human Resources Office. You may use LensCrafters, Gosnell-Chapman Vision Care at Cherrydale and Preferred Eye Care discounts.
This $15 annual fee provides the following coverage if you use the Preferred Eye Care Providers listed on the next page.

VISION OPTIONS
LensCrafters at the Haywood Mall and Gosnell-Chapman Vision Care at Cherrydale will provide Furman employees with a 20% discount on checkups, lens and frames by showing their Furman ID.
There is no cost to the employee or Furman for this program. There are no premiums or claim forms to be filed. When appointments are made, you should indicate that you are from Furman and are, therefore, eligible for the discount. After your doctor visit, you may be asked to show your ID card, then you will receive a bill showing the full cost, the 20% discount and the net cost to you. You will be responsible for paying this net cost.
