We are an independent group of students dedicated to the staging of quality theatrical productions unique from Furman's theater or music departments.  We are entirely student run:  we cast, direct, design, choreograph, construct, light, costume, and perform everything ourselves.

Recent productions include A Midsummer Night's Dream,  Guys and Dolls, and Fiddler on the Roof. In April 2005, we performed the exciting Broadway musical, Ragtime!  Between the cast, crew, and orchestra, over fify students were involved in creating this show.

This year, the Pauper Players have been more active than ever, putting on The Last Five Years as well as The Content of Our Character, a student-written tribute to African American heritage and culture. We have recently brought our 2005-06 season to a close with a light-hearted production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Next year, we plan to produce Urinetown: The Musical on January 18-20, 2007, directed by Charlie Stoop, which will be followed in May by She Loves Me, directed by Erica Giovanni.
