In a society where political apathy among students is increasingly considered the norm, members of the Furman University College Democrats are striving to prove the contrary.
We are the organization for students who want to make their voices heard by becoming actively involved in the political process. College Democrats strive to uphold the values and ideals of the Democratic Party and promote them among the entire student body.
Whether it’s volunteering for a campaign or at the polls on Election Day or discussing
timely issues with local elected leaders, College Democrats strive to make a difference on campus as well as in the community as a whole.
The Democratic Party has long stood for the issues that college students across the nation care deeply about: providing quality educational opportunities for all Americans, increasing funding and access to student loans and grants, preserving our natural environment, and ensuring equality for all. If you have not already, we hope that you will join us to learn more about one of the most politically active groups right here at Furman.
Everyday, Furman College Democrats are proving that our generation is not politically apathetic, but rather eager to become true leaders in our democracy.
