OLLI (FULIR) History
When OLLI began in 1993, we had
sixty-two members and offered seven courses. It was then named Furman
University Learning in Retirement (FULIR.) We now offer around
90 classes per term and enrollment grows every term. In the fall
of 2007, enrollment was 637 members.
Each term more people in the Greenville
community are enjoying the opportunity to meet new friends while
pursuing shared intellectual interests. Who are these interested people?
They are members of OLLI and they will tell you their lives are indeed
"fuller" because of the program's varied offerings.
