Mentor Registration

Two Mentoring Programs are sponsored by the Office of Career Services:

1.     Career Link is a program designed to facilitate career-related networking among Furman students and alumni. By joining this program, students will have the opportunity to read your career profile and contact you for informational interviewing and guidance.

2.     The Shadow Program provides students with the opportunity to learn more about a career field of interest by spending time with someone currently employed in that field.  By volunteering to be a Shadow Sponsor, you will receive occasional inquiries from students wishing to meet with you to observe and learn more about your job.  The amount of time they spend with you is entirely your decision.  Many shadowing experiences last a day or less; some will last 2-3 days.   This type of opportunity is invaluable to students as they seek to gather information to make decisions about their careers.  While all alumni are invited to become a Shadow Sponsor, those that live within commuting distance of Furman are especially encouraged to join.  This will allow students to leave campus and return the same day.

To make any future updates, please resubmit a new profile and we will delete the old one.
If at some point you wish to withdraw from either program, send an email to the Career Services Office (career.services@furman.edu) and we will remove you from the database. 

 

By completing and submitting the form below, your information will be added to a database with other Mentors and will be accessible to students through a password-protected page on the Career Services website. Only Furman students and alumni will be provided with the password.
