Internal Communications
Furman has recently been recognized by several professional organizations for its effective and creative Internal Communications program. An overview of the program < http://www.furman.edu/if/internalcommunicationspaper.doc> will be published in the America Marketing Association’s  2008 Symposium for the Marketing of High Education.

Inside Furman
Inside Furman, the university’s internal newsletter, is published quarterly. Each issue – usually 8-12 pages – contains employee profiles, news, a contributed column and photos. Past issues of Inside Furman are posted on the web <http://www.furman.edu/if/archiveindex.html> Inside Furman is distributed to Furman trustees, faculty, staff, retirees and members of the advisory board.

FUnet
FUnet, the university’s internal homepage, is updated daily during the school year with university news items and photos.  The director of internal communications works with a group of student writers and photographers to produce material for site.

The FUnet Flusher
The FUnet flusher is a weekly flyer that is posted in well-populated university restrooms throughout the week during the school year.  Each issue contains a FUnet photo of the week, short news items and calendar of events.

News@FU
News@FU is an electronic newsletter distributed monthly during the school year and distributed to alumni and university friends through electronic mail. The director of internal and electronic communications serves as writer and editor for the newsletter.  He/she also monitors messages other departments send to alumni and friends via electronic mail to check for accuracy, message content and consistency.
