Office for Study Away and International Education

Study Away: Parents and Students

Furman’s faculty-led study away programs represent engaged learning at its finest – students and professors critically exploring places together.  Other opportunities exist for students who prefer to travel more independently. As you explore the available programs at the link below, remember that not all programs travel every year.  Be sure to also check out the Places link at left to see exactly where in the world students go.

An overview of the study away process, from early planning through return to the U.S., is available in the Study Away Student Handbook below. Our office also offers Study Away 101 information sessions, and individual faculty directors typically hold sessions related to specific programs.  Keep an eye on the website homepage for upcoming dates.
