

The Purple and White: a hole in one for community building

Whatever else you might say about the Purple & White Golf League at Furman, it is truly an egalitarian exercise.

For some students and employees, the return to campus this fall might be a bit disorienting.
Many students arrived on campus this fall with more than a trunk load of clothes, posters, DVDs, computer equipment and other necessities. Tucked away deep inside their hard drives were some nasty-sounding critters, among them Welchia, Blaster and the Nachia worm.

Furman United Way Campaign kicks off
The theme for the United Way campaign is, “If it didn't matter we, we wouldn't ask.” Michelle Shain, community relations director and Furman's 2003 campaign coordinator, is doing her best to ensure that the entire university community gets the message.
