Just a reminder
The Furman community is invited to attend the dedications of the new alumni house and amphitheater October 23. Dedication of the amphitheater will begin at 10:30 a.m. while the Cherrydale Alumni House will be dedicated at 12:30 p.m. Both activities are part of Homecoming weekend. Located on the north side campus and adjacent to Furman lake, the amphitheater will seat approximately 450 with the surrounding grassy area accommodating another 500 people. The Alumni Association relocated to Cherrydale a 19th century mansion formerly owned by James C. Furman in September. The house was moved to campus March 7-8 from the former Umbro International plant site. For a complete list of homecoming activities, see the Alumni Home Page (linked to Furman.edu). Flu shots Get your flue vaccination shots November 9, between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Earle Infirmary. The cost to faculty and staff is $5 and the cost to spouses is $10.00. Checks are accepted and should be made payable to Furman University. Please bring the correct amount and wear clothing that provides easy access to the upper arm. Call the Personnel Office at extension 3103 by November 2 to schedule an appointment. |
