"Sanford will win. Although he is not an incumbent, he has plenty of money for advertising. I believe Hodges' issues will fall under their own weight. I hate to say it, but it looks like a shift in popularity."
-Steve Richards

"I think it was great having an on-campus gubernatorial debate, but I am neutral at the moment on who I will vote for."
-Jean Smith

"Right now I'm leaning toward Sanford for governor. As far as the debate goes, I felt that the way they took shots at each other seemed unprofessional, but that's politics."
-Ryan Lazar

"The questions were awful. They missed a lot of important issues in the campaign. For example, Sanford wasn't asked about his income tax proposal, and Hodges wasn't asked how he intends to pay for all his campaign promises."
-Danielle Vinson

"I don't think the critical issues were raised in the debate, but I felt Hodges did a better job. Because South Carolina is a mostly Republican state, though, Sanford has a good chance."
-Karen Noren
