The university will host the "Furman Fall Fest" October 19 behind Daniel Dining Hall. Sponsored by the Knight Committee, the entire university community - faculty, staff and students - are invited to attend.

With a county fair theme, the festival will feature a variety of "vendor" foods including cotton candy, funnel cakes, giant pretzels and boiled peanuts. Corn dogs, chili and salads will also be served, so bring your appetite. Student troubadours, including musicians and magicians, will add to the festive atmosphere. A disc jockey and Karaoke machine (for the daring) will also spin tunes throughout the afternoon.

Class schedules will not be altered for this event. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. So, everyone is invited to attend as their schedule permits. The event is being funded through a Presidential Leadership Grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
