What do you think has been the most memorable event at Furman this 2001-02 school year?

"9-11. It was very poignant for me because it happened that morning before going into class and everyone was in a daze."
-- Sam Britt

"I think it was 9-11. I was here and everyone was watching it on television, and we couldn't believe it."
-- Richard Lake

"9-11. I had come out of class and then I saw everybody sort of in a frenzy in the halls. After the second plane sliced into the other tower, I knew that something was really going on. People tend now to think in terms of before 9-11 and after 9-11. I've heard some students say, 'Oh, that is so 9-10' - in other words, in another era altogether."
-- Butler Brewton
"I think it was the attack on the World Trade Center and the fallout."
-- A.V. Huff

"The most memorable event to me was Sept. 11 and how depressing it was. I'm the women's golf coach and we had our first meeting that day. It was hard to get started and to get enthusiastic about what we wanted to do."
-- Mic Potter
