The Atlanta Falcons will return this month to campus  for the
NFL team’s summer training camp. The Falcons, who held
their summer camp at Furman from 1971-77, could extend
their contract for several years. What is your opinion of this proposition?

"The Falcons have been playing really great ball lately and I think it would generate a lot of publicity. I think it would be good for campus and good for the community."

"Overall, it’s very positive. Having the Falcons here generates a whole lot of work that involves a lot of Furman people.  There’s a lot that needs to be done to take care of their needs."

-- Candy Brandenburg, Mail Services

"I think it’s a great idea. It would represent a steady revenue stream, which is always good. And surely it helps us recruit in the Atlanta area. I say bring them on."

-- Jim Edwards, Philosophy

"Things have changed a whole lot since they were here before, but from what I have heard Furman and the Falcons seem to be a good fit. They get use of our facilities and we benefit from the publicity. There also seems to be very little conflict on classroom space."

-- Steve Richardson, Library

"I think it’s good for Furman to be involved with this. It gives us positive exposure and brings people on campus."

-- Karen Duncan, Financial Services
