Give to the FROG fund

Those who have donned the purple and white jersey know that Furman Rugby is more than an activity. It is an experience.
Rugby is a sport that binds. And the friendships -- forged through battles on the pitch – outlast Commencement. Each year during homecoming Furman Rugby celebrates these friendships during our annual FROG (Furman Rugby Olde Guys/Gals) game. Our program is only six years old and our FROG ranks are small. But of the 28 FROGs, a remarkable 24 attended the first FROG game last October. And nearly every Furman rugby alumnus made a contribution to our FROG fund last year.
Of course, the goal of Furman rugby is not to raise money. It is to enhance student life and have fun. But the club does have a goals that requires fundraising: Creating a travel fund that would support an overseas playing tour for the teams that would occur every four years.
As our alumni base grows and our alumni become more established our fund will continute to grow. Working together we've accomplished our goals on the pitch by emerging as one of the top small-college programs in the nation. Our three Rugby South and Division III Championships are a testament to this.
Working together, I know we can reach our goals off the pitch as well.
If Furman rugby has touched your life – or the life of your child – I urge you to consider making a tax deductible donation to the FROG fund. No amount is too small.
