The Furman Forum

What is your favorite feature of the renovated University Center?

“The new coffee shop is just great. I think it will be really popular. It even has places where you can hook in your computer. And Burgiss Theater is also nice. The acoustics in that movie theater are great. The whole building is just so much roomier.”

Gary Huffman, painter, Facilities Services

June Meng, secretary, Earth and Environmental Sciences

“I like the layout of the building. It has much easier access. The whole building is real nice, but I especially like the bookstore.”
“I like all of the room in the building. It really gives students a place to congregate. I also like the food court. I just wish they had a Schlotzsky’s.”

Ray Moss, professor, Health and Exercise Science

Matt Rissman, desktop systems specialist, Computing and Information Services

“I really enjoy the food court and the seating area near it. I also like the fact that there is a glass front facing the lake. It’s a great view when you’re eating lunch.”
“I like the food court and eat there most of the time. It’s very convenient because I no longer have to drive off campus for lunch. They will also go out of their way to make a dish low-fat if you ask them.”

Richard Nelson, director, Computing and Information Services
