Furman to host a cappella competition

Singing groups from the University of South Carolina, Princeton and William & Mary will take part in an a cappella competition March 13 at 8 p.m. in Daniel Chapel.

Furman’s Bell Tower Boys, who are hosting the event, will also perform but will not compete. Each of the competing groups will perform three works. The winning group, as determined by three judges, will be awarded $500.

Admission is free, but donations will be collected at the chapel. The first $500 collected will be used for the award. Any money collected over that amount will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.
