North Village Community Center
 

Furman University Housing provides 11 meeting locations in the residence halls and North Village that student groups may reserve at no charge (except for weekends in the NVCC).  Please complete the meeting space request below if you would like to reserve a meeting space in the residence halls or in North Village.  Requests will be reviewed Mon-Fri between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and must be submitted with a 24-hour notice in order to be considered. A request does not guarantee that the room is availableTeresa Ponder from University Housing will reply via e-mail to confirm the reservation.

** The NV J Community Center is available weekdays @ no charge.  Weekend rates are $75 for 100 D or 300 F and $50 for each room on the 200 level.  Weekends are defined as 8:30 a.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. Sunday.

** The Parlors and Lounges are available @ no charge on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Weekend requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please read the following regulations:

Access to the building and meeting rooms - Access to the building and meeting room will be granted to the person listed as the person responsible for the meeting space. Their Palacard will be the means of access into the building. Availability begins 30 minutes prior to and ends 30 minutes after the requested meeting times.

Decorations - Only free standing decorations or table decorations are allowed in these facilities. Hanging or taping materials on ceilings or walls is prohibited. All items, such as props and/or decorations must be removed from the area immediately after the event. University Housing cannot provide storage for such items. Reserving organizations will be responsible for any damages, and a setup fee will be charged if the room is not left arranged as indicated on the diagrams posted in each room.

Responsibilities of Scheduling Groups - 

It is the responsibility of each group reserving the facility to be aware of all rules and regulations regarding the scheduling of this facility. The group representative who submits the request form accepts responsibility for ensuring that all rules and regulations are followed.

NO SMOKING ALLOWED anywhere in the building. String lights, candles, and other open flames, are prohibited.

Glitter may NOT be used period.

Alcohol is STRICTLY prohibited.

Flyers, posters and other types of advertising are NOT to be displayed on the windows or doors of the facility

Due to campus security, no exterior doors may be propped open.

Furniture layout in each room is noted on a diagram near the entrance. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT AT THE END OF EACH MEETING THE FURNITURE IS IN PLACE ACCORDING TO THE DIAGRAM.

Damages - Groups will be held financially responsible for all damages which occur during their use, and also for clean up which exceeds normal use.

Submission of this form indicates that the person responsible for the meeting space has reviewed all of the regulations of the meeting spaces in the residence halls and NV J Community Center and agrees to comply.

University Housing reserves the right to deny a request for use of the meeting spaces in the residence halls and NV J Community Center in the future if all terms of this agreement are not met.
