Mission

University Housing serves as a bridge to interdependent living, responsible decision-making and personal growth by providing the best possible facilities and services that will also foster student and community development and support the University's objective of engaged learning.

Philosophy

We believe...

· Students are the center of our educational process.

· Students develop best in safe, comfortable and attractive housing.

· Students should have a service-oriented staff to assist them in matters relating to Housing.

· Housing provides programs and activities that support the development of the whole person through fulfilling our eight learning outcomes - civility, social responsibility, healthy behaviors, diversity appreciation, realistic self-appraisal, intellectual growth, effective communication & meaningful interpersonal relationships.

· Staff members respect the uniqueness of each individual student

· Student leadership promotes a strong sense of community

· Established and consistently enforced parameters are in the best interest of students and their living environments.

· Residential life should enable students to learn to communicate effectively, solve problems competently, think critically and act responsibly.
