Furman Ladies Golf Association Welcomes the Public
The Furman Ladies Golf Association was organized in 1970 to promote interest in golf among women, especially those members of the Furman Golf Club. Led by a group of dedicated women golfers, it has provided an annual Championship, as well as other events for its members. The FLGA is a member of the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association, the Greenville Metropolitan Women’s Golf Association, and the Intra Club Carolina Golf Association.
The Furman Ladies Golf Association offers memberships to all women golfers who are members of the Furman University Golf club, and all other women who are not a member of any other organized ladies golf association.
For an annual membership fee of $50.00, the FLGA provides for its members:
- Weekly ladies day tournaments (Thursdays and Saturdays).
- Member-Guest tournament
- Member-Member tournament
- Club Championship/Handicap Tournament
- Year end prizes.
- USGA Handicap*
- Reduced rates on green and cart fees during FLGA play. **
- Eligibility to play in Women’s South Carolina Golf Association monthly and senior tournaments.
- Eligibility to play in Greenville Metropolitan Women’s Golf Association monthly tournaments. ***
- Eligibility to play in Intra Club Carolina monthly tournaments. ***
- Eligibility to play in Greater Greenville County Ladies Amateur Golf Tournament. ***

* A reduced rate from $35 to $20 for members of the Furman Ladies Golf Association.
** All FLGA members pay $13 cart fees instead of the normal $15 rate. FLGA members that are not also members of the Furman Golf Club will receive a reduced green fee rate of $15 compared to the normal rate of $25 on Thursday and a $10 discount off the regular guest rate of $34 after 12 PM on Saturday. (There are no discounts on faculty rates.)
