FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID - FAFSA

In order to receive a Federal student loan or be considered for any federal aid, the first requirement for everyone is completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

A FAFSA must be submitted each academic year. The easiest way is completing the information on-line. Once this process is complete and the student's federal need has been determined, the student may be eligible for one or more Federal Loans.

The easiest and quickest way to file a FAFSA is online - www.fafsa.ed.gov.

You must include Furman University's school code - 003434 - in order for us to electronically receive the results of the FAFSA from the U.S. Department of Education.

You and, if you are a dependent student, a parent must sign the FAFSA. If you have a PIN number, you can use that number to sign the FAFSA. If you need to obtain a PIN number, go to www.pin.ed.gov.

The priority deadline for incoming freshmen is February 15.

The priority deadline for undergraduate students and graduate students is April 15.
