The Concentration:

The WGS concentration offers a meaningful way for students to group their elective courses in such a way as to focus on issues related to women and gender. Students wishing to complete a concentration in Women's and Gender Studies must take at least four courses that have been approved for WGS concentration credit, with at least three different departments represented.

A student may declare a Women and Gender Studies Concentration by filling out the Field of Study Declaration Form on the Academic Records site. A concentration advisor will be assigned to the student after the paperwork has been processed. The concentration form may be filled out retroactively or after any Women’s and Gender Studies course has already been taken. Courses for the concentration can be taken pass/fail if they are not for major or General Education requirement credit.
