Ruth Neville

Ruth Neville, piano, brings a wealth of experience as performer and pedagogue to Furman University.  Described by the Greenville News as "a deft, sensitive chamber music player whose idiomatic playing is remarkable for color and control," her chamber music activities have included residencies at the Ferienkurse fur Neue Musik in Darmstadt and the Bayerische Musikakademie Marktoberdorf.  Neville joins with her husband, Daniel Koppelman, to form the piano team duo runedako whose performances feature 20th century repertoire for multiple keyboard instruments, both acoustic and electronic. Together they have presented numerous recitals, both here and abroad.  Recent orchestral highlights include engagements with the Prague Radio Symphony and Greenville Symphony Orchestras.  Recording credits include Celestial Harmonies, Neuma Records, New World Records, and CRI.
