Carolyn Carrier

Carolyn Carrier joins the Furman keyboard faculty for 2007-2008 as Lecturer in Music, teaching music theory and class piano.  A graduate of Furman University, she received her degree in piano performance.  She earned her Masters degree in piano from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where she served as a graduate teaching assistant of class piano.

Ms. Carrier is an active performer, recently soloing with the joint Greenville Symphony and Greenville County Youth Orchestras.  In addition to solo work, she is an avid collaborator, accompanying part-time at Furman.  Ms. Carrier is also on the faculty of the Piano for Young People pre-college program at Furman and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, serving as a competition coordinator.  In addition to her teaching experience, Ms. Carrier has worked in arts administration, serving as the Artist Liaison for the Eastern Music Festival during the 2007 season.
