Meal Plans for the main Dining Hall
DH features include multiple food lines with a variety of options, brick pizza oven, pasta and veggie stations, carving stations, Wi-Fi, power outlets on every column and two levels of seating over-looking the lake. 
NOTE: In order to eat in the dining hall, a meal plan must be purchased in advance.  The apartment kitchens, university center and a variety of local restaurants are available for families not wishing to purchase a full meal plan.


On-Campus Apartment Housing
  • 1/4 apartment (for singles, NOT for families) 1 full bed/shared bath/share suite/kitchen w others
  • 1/2 apartment (for singles or small families) 2 full beds/private bath/share suite/kitchen w other families
  • Full apartment (for larger families) 4 full beds/two full baths/kitchen/living area/patio

North Village AptsThe North Village Apartments are nestled in the trees at the north end of campus and comprised of private bedroom suites with two full baths, full kitchen, living room and a balcony or patio area. Each suite contains four private bedrooms, two per bath area (1/2 apartment = 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, shared living area). Bedroom furnishings include a full-size bed, full-length mirror, desk with chair, dresser/hutch and closet.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric range and refrigerator. Dishes, cooking, serving and cleaning supplies are not provided. Cable TV and Wi-Fi available; however, televisions, phones, computers, radios and reading lamps are not provided. .  Linens are available at an additional cost. Maid service is not provided.  Hard-line network connections are not permitted, though use of the Furman public wireless system is available in most areas of the campus, including the apartments, music building, auditorium, dining hall and university center.

Family members are welcome to attend with you. Childcare is not provided by the Institute. Children 12 and under should be supervised at all times. Please select the housing format that best suits your size family. Handicap-accessible rooms are available if requested in advance. Parking is available at North Village and the Music Building, though many find bicycles beneficial.  Always yield to automobile traffic when using paved campus roads.  Bike racks are provided outside each building; please supply your own bike lock.  Shuttles are not provided by the campus or the Institute.

Grills, picnic tables and benches are provided throughout the green space of North Village as well as centrally located sand volleyball and tennis courts. Beautifully landscaped walking / biking trails connect all nine buildings of the North Village Complex as well as the campus proper and wooded perimeter.

Security on the Furman campus is supplied by the Furman Department of Public Safety in conjunction with local law enforcement. Proper behavior on the campus is strictly enforced.  All driving participants will be supplied with a temporary parking permit for approved areas. In the summers, the campus closes at 10 p.m. and only authorized individuals may enter through the main gate.
