*SPECIAL PERFORMANCE* by William Preucil, Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra and recording artist for the newly released Suzuki CD project.

The names Suzuki and Preucil are synonymous in the United States! William Preucil - Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra and former first violinist of the Grammy Award winning Cleveland Quartet, began his violin instruction with his mother Doris Preucil, a pioneer in Suzuki method. He has worked with many of the greatest artist alive today and performed in the finest concert halls in the world but he maintains a deep devotion to his roots and a commitment to mentoring young string students. Mr. Preucil is also the recording artist for the new Suzuki Violin CD project. The first four volumes are complete and the fifth volume due for release in fall 2009.

Sponsored by Bernhardt House of Violins, the South Carolina Suzuki Institute is delighted William Preucil will make a “Special Appearance” performing several works including Suzuki selections. Furman University is honored that he serves as our very own “Distinguished Visiting Professor of Violin.”
