Band/Orch Camp Fees 2009

  • RESIDENTIAL CAMPERS - $480
    (includes shared room, all meals, tuition, recreation)
  • COMMUTERS - $380
    (includes lunch, dinner, tuition, recreation)
  • Deposit of $100 or full payment due with application
    • Scholarships may not be used as deposits unless you are receiving a FULL scholarship which will pay the FULL expense.  Official letter of award must accompany application if using scholarship for deposit.
  • Balance of payment due by May 1
    • $100 non refundable after May 1
    • $310 non refundable after May 15
    • Full fee non-refundable as of June 14 . Refundable key deposit due at later date.
  • Checks payable to Furman University
  • Visa, Master Card or Discover accepted.  No debit cards.
Scholarships and All-State Discounts
  • All-State Honors Discount:

    • Students earning placement in this year's South Carolina All-State Honors Band/Orchestra/Jazz Ensemble (or the equivalent in other states) are eligible for a tuition reduction. 
      One discount per person.
      This is a discount, not a refundable scholarship and applies only to the cost of tuition (not private lessons.)

      • Listed and Seated All-State Participants: $100 tuition discount
      • Alternate All-State Members: $50 tuition discount

      To apply, please forward proof of placement with your name hi-lighted.
      Deadline - May 1. Requests subject to verification and approval.  No discounts awarded if proof of participation is received after May 1.

    • NOT ELIGIBLE:  Region, County or City ensembles

  • All scholarship payments are due to Furman by May 15.  Please be sure the presenter of your scholarship is aware of the deadline.  If receiving a full scholarship, an official letter of award may be submitted in lieu of deposit.  Scholarships may not be used for private lesson payment.
How To Apply

    • Teacher signature required; represents a recommendation to participate
    • Parent signature required; verifies understanding of refund policy and permission to attend
  • DEADLINES
    • Submit application with $100 reservation deposit (if submitted prior to May) or full balance by May 1.
    • Submit balance of payment by May 1.
    • Some sections close quickly so apply early!
