Morning: Welcome and Introductions at UCA (Central American University) and history with Mark Lester, Co-director of CGE
Afternoon: Tour of Managua

Wednesday, May 3
Morning: Talk with Guillermo Pérez, Emerging of Social Movements and fight against Somoza. Afternoon: Visit Batahola neighborhood, and hear history of Barrio, how it emerged in the time of the revolution. Tour of barrio and Cultural Center given by Conchita and Jennifer Marshall
Evening: Go to baseball game at National Stadium

Thursday, May 4
Morning: Meeting with Mario Rizo, Lawyer and Anthropologist. Academician whose main focus has been Indigenous communities on the Pacific Coast
Afternoon: Talk with Azucena Ferrey, former Contra Leader, at the UCA

Friday, May 5
Morning: Meeting with María Teresa Blandón, Founder of the Feminist Movement, at the UCA
Afternoon: Meeting with María Elena, director of Centro de Mujeres Acahual. They work on issues related to family violence, prostitution, HIV-AIDS, self esteem workshops, etc. and then travel to Leon

Morning: Meeting with Silvia Torres, Anthropologist who has researched the history of Subtiava Indigenous Community of León
Afternoon: Free time to explore city of León, Cathedral, Museum of Heroes and Martyrs

Sunday, May 7
Morning: Travel to Managua
Afternoon: Free time

Monday, May 8
Morning: Meeting with Marissa Olivares, Sociology Professor at UCA. Talk about her experience as former Sandinista guerrilla
Afternoon: Travel to Estelí

Tuesday, May 9
Morning: Travel to Sontule Community for meeting with Women’s Cooperative to speak about history of Community and Cooperative and talk with Lucía Acuña, member of cooperative and Isabel Flores, President of Cooperative
Afternoon: Travel to Community of El Cebollal. See and participate in a Coffee Cupping Session led by Marbellí García and Marlon Sovalbarro
Evening: Travel to Estelí

Wednesday, May 10
Morning: Travel to San Lucas, Somoto
Morning: Meeting with Members of Indigenous Community of San Lucas; Dominga Pérez, Coordinator of Indigenous Government Council ; Oslan Guzman, Administrative body of Indigenous Government Council ; Daysi Vásquez, President of Board of Directors ; Margarito Hernández, producer; Luis Rodríguez, Legal Comission; Eric Torres, Lawyer, Legal Representative
Afternoon: Meeting with Santos Yáder González, former Contra member and Uriel Antonio Carazo, former member of EPS (Sandinista People’s Army).
Evening: Travel to Estelí

Afternoon: Go back to Managua, and final group evaluation with Drs. Ching and Fraser

Morning: Travel to Vistamar Beach Resort in Pochomil
Evening: Last group dinner and wrap-up session
