Morning: Talk by the ex-guerrilla Pablo Ceto and leave for visit to the indigenous community of Chontala. Talk with a Methodist Pastor Diego Chicoj and widows, Maria Tomasa, Maria Saquic, Manuela, Sebastiana.
Afternoon: Participate in a Mayan Ceremony at Pascual Abaj Mayan site, by Pedro Yac and Fabiana Cochoy

Tuesday, April 4
Morning: Leave for Panajachel
Afternoon: Tour of Santiago Atitlan, Visit Maximón, the brotherhood, the church by Dolores Ratzan

Wednesday, April 5
Morning: Time in Atitlan
Afternoon: Travel to Antigua

Thursday, April 6
Free day in Antigua (options to go to hike the Volcano Pacaya or spend the day in Antigua)

Friday, April 7
Morning: Travel to Puerto Barrios
Afternoon: History of Garifuna People by Rogelio Lino

Morning: Leave for Aktenamit Project and Beach of Salvador Gaviota followed by a talk on Garifuna Culture by a Garifuna Woman, Gloria Nuñez

Travel to Tikal

Morning:Final Reflection, lecture by Drs. Ching and Fraser on the historic origins of poverty.
