Survey of wellness concepts which promote lifetime fitness and healthy lifestyle habits. Topics include aerobic and muscular conditioning, nutrition and medical aspects of fitness. Participation in activites to develop cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility. (Lab fee required.)

First Aid
The course content and activities will prepare participants to recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care and to act as the first link in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. Using a healthy lifestyles-awareness inventory, participants will assess their environment and personal habits to reduce their risk of injury and illness.
