Proposed Event for the Cultural Life Program


Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the Event & Proposal Guidelines before submitting a proposal. In particular, please make note of the requirement that proposals must be received at least four weeks prior to the event itself. Four weeks are defined as four weeks during which Furman is in session. When Furman is on break, the four weeks are in addition to the length of the break. Also, please make sure that the event has a sponsor who is a member of the Furman faculty (or a designated staff member), and that this sponsor is aware of his/her responsibilities with regard to event sponsorship. (For instance, the faculty sponsor is expected to attend the event.) And lastly, note that an event must have a space already reserved (not simply requested) to be considered.
Note: Be sure to enter your correct e-mail address in the form below. This is used to send you a copy of the proposal that you submit. If you do not receive a copy of the proposal within a few minutes of your submission, an error has occurred and your proposal has not been successfully submitted.

Additionally, events that do not have a space reserved through R25 (the Furman Events Calendar) will not be considered.
Your R25 Reference number should be included in the subject line of an email you receive when reserving a room - however only after your event has been confirmed should you submit your CLP request.

After reviewing the information you are providing, click the appropriate button below. Submitting the proposal will cause a copy of it to be mailed to each member of the CLP Committee. A copy will also be sent to the author of the proposal. If you do not receive a copy, an error occurred in the submission process. The committee reviews proposals each week. You (and the faculty sponsor, if different) will be contacted immediately after the next review.
