Worship

The ongoing effect of Christian liturgy and worship should be to form us, the church, into communities of friends of God. - Paul J. Wadell

Each Sunday the University community gathers in the Charles E. Daniel Memorial Chapel for worship. The service, ecumenical in flavor and liturgical in tone, focuses on the heart, soul, and mind of worship. Students in the Exploration of Vocation and Ministry (EVM) program, the chancel choir, and faculty assist the chaplains in planning and leadership of these services, with the chaplains and guest speakers providing the sermon. University worship is at 5:00 pm, except on a few Sundays where our community expands (see below) with guests and alumni. The chaplains encourage students to develop a religious commitment that functions not only on the campus but also in the community with local congregations.

Engage in worship with us at the Charles Ezra Daniel Memorial Chapel during the 2008--2009 academic year as we celebrate God's good gifts and call in our lives.
