Cross
The cross on the sanctuary wall above the meditation
chapel is crafted from a rafter salvaged from the First Baptist
Church of Charleston. The church was constructed from 1819
to 1822 during the pastorate of Richard Furman. On September
22, 1989, the building was severely damaged by Hurricane
Hugo. |
