Religious Life at Furman is both diverse and integrated. This engaged approach to faith is a means to embrace the whole life of the Furman community. Religious life is diverse in that our many religious groups offer a wide perspective on what faith means to the individual and the community. Religious life is integrated in that our campus religious groups work with faculty, staff, students, and the community to educate the whole person in ethical, spiritual, and moral issues and development.

Furman's robust religious life is based upon the belief that "faith should be cherished but not coerced." To that end, we seek to raise questions, listen in mutual dialogue, and participate in acts of grace, justice, and love that contribute to the growth of all persons. The groups listed below are all members of the Furman Religious Council and active on our campus. Only groups who are members of Furman's Religious Council may participate in campus life.
