Region: Texas (Austin and San Antonio)

Hometown: Glen Rock, NJ

Education: Johns Hopkins University

Favorite activity in Greenville: Swamp Rabbit Trail

Favorite Greenville restaurant: Smoke on the Water with Spill the Beans for dessert.

Favorite Furman tradition: Has to be homecoming!

Best thing about Furman: The students – they look happy and engaged and they are. They are excited about their classes and professors but they are also involved and enjoying all their activities.

Best piece of advice for prospective students: It may be hard but try to visit schools. Visits let you see the school and experience its personality. Take a tour, do an overnight visit, attend a class and try the dining hall. Whether you visit or not before applying, ask lots of questions of your representative, your college counselor or alumni. This is a big decision and it takes lots of information to find your best match.
