Year 2016-17 Student Sustainability Fellowship Opportunities
The Shi Center for
Sustainability is pleased to request applications for student sustainability
fellowships for Academic Year 2016-2017. These fellowships are paid at $10.00
an hour and require approximately 10 hours of work per week and participation
in assorted other activities. Our academic year positions focus on
sustainability research and service on campus.
Our Fellows Program includes group meetings every other week, fellow
lunch events in the DH and programming designed to educate about sustainability
and to create a common experience. In
addition to programing elements, Shi Center Student Fellows have opportunities
to attend and present at conferences, gatherings and events throughout the academic
year. Students from all majors are
encouraged to apply.
TO APPLY: Please submit a
resume, short statement (no more than 400 words) of interest that includes the
particular fellowship(s) desired, and names of two references (professors on
campus are preferred). If you are interested in more than one fellowship,
please provide a statement of interest for each position. These will be shared
with the position supervisor (it is fine to include similar content in the
statements when applicable). Please email your application to Kelly Grant
Purvis (Shi Center Assistant Director) at email@example.com no
later than Monday, September 5th, 2016. If applying to more than one position,
please rank your choices in the e-mail. Martha Newton, the Center’s
Departmental Assistant (Martha.firstname.lastname@example.org)
will follow up with successful applicants to schedule an interview.
