Keyboard study at Furman consists of conservatory-level instruction and opportunities within a rigorous liberal arts educational experience. Our international keyboard faculty are active performers, teachers, and scholars who believe in the importance of cultivating unique experiences for both major and non-major students as they find their musical identity. Our graduates have won accolades in major regional, national, and international competitions, and have continued their post-Furman education at some of the most prestigious graduate programs in the country. The Furman keyboard experience includes collaborative opportunities, the concerto competition, the Italy Study Away program, and our ongoing Steinway Initiative, ensuring that Furman students will be able to perform and practice on the finest instruments for years to come.
