  • Lesson length is determined by the teacher in consultation with the parent. All students participate in a separate Musicianship class (included in tuition.)
  • As a student of this Furman-sponsored program, your student is welcome to utilize any open piano practice room at any time during the school year. Please be sure your student is supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Our Adult Faculty Staff and Undergrad Student Staff are employees of Furman University.  All payments to these individuals must be made through Furman University and the Furman Music Department. Summer Exception: summer lessons are optional and not paid through Furman so negotiation of summer lesson rates is up to the individual teacher. Furman University is not responsible for the content or consistency of privately-negotiated supplemental lessons and Furman University facilities may not be available due to the various camps and conferences we contract to host in the summer.
REFUND POLICY
    • A partial refund (50% of term tuition) is available if a student withdraws within 10(ten) days from the start of the term (first lesson). After ten days, tuition fees are non refundable.
    • Faculty are contracted in advance of the term, so there will not be a discount if you elect to change from Adult Staff to Undergrad after the term begins. There will be an upgrade charge if you elect to move from Undergrad to Adult Staff after the start of the term.
    • MAKE-UP LESSONS: Missed lessons will be made-up only in the event of inclement weather or faculty/student illness. Missed lessons are not refundable.
