Scholarships and Aid Music Furman UniversityFurman Music offers a number of talent-based scholarships to incoming freshmen and college transfer students on the basis of competitive auditions. Though priority is given to students intending to major in music, talented non-majors planning to participate in large ensembles and private lessons are eligible for a limited number of participation scholarships. Scholarships are renewable annually if academic and music criteria are maintained. Notification of scholarship award or of acceptance as an intended major is contingent upon admission to Furman.

How much?  Depends on our need and your skill, potential and degree goals.
Renewable?  Yes, annually if academic and music criteria are maintained.
Who decides? The music faculty, music department chair, Office of Financial Aid.
Audition required?  Yes.
Live or Recorded In-person is always best, but recordings are considered.
