Under the direction of Leslie W. Hicken, the bands will perform works by Graham, Zare, Bates, and Denza. Guest composer and conductor, Timothy Mahr from St. Olaf University, will present a new symphony commissioned by the Furman Band program.

Furman professor of percussion, Omar Carmenates, performs a consortium premiere performance of Adam Silverman’s solo work, “Carbon Paper and Nitrogen Ink.” Under the direction of Leslie W. Hicken, the bands presents compositions by Hesketh, Grainger, Bryant, Benson, and Reed.
