My name is Chisato Yokoyama and I am from Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. Kagawa is the smallest prefecture in Japan and is famous for Udon, noodle. An International Art Festival is held in Kagawa’s islands. You can see many works of art there.

I love listening to music, especially J-Pop and acoustic music are my favorite. I am thinking about learning how to play the acoustic guitar, so please teach me if you can play it :)

I also love taking a walk and traveling. I have been to China, Taiwan, France, England and America. If you get a chance to visit Japan, I would definitely recommend going to Kyoto. You can learn about Japanese culture and history there, and can walk around Kyoto wearing rental Kimono.

I am a graduate student at Hiroshima University majoring in Second Language Acquisition. My current research interest is how Japanese language learners develop their conversation skills and what teachers can do to help students develop effective conversation strategies.

If you have questions related to Japanese or if you want to know more about Japan, have a conversation in Japanese, please contact me at
