Makiko Jinnouchi Furman University

I am Makiko Jinnouchi (陣内満喜子). Makiko means a child who is full of happiness!!

I am from Saga which is a small prefecture but famous for hot springs and potteries.

I am an undergraduate student of Hiroshima University which has an old history about education.   I am really glad to be here because I am majoring in Japanese language education and my dream is to be a Japanese teacher!

In Japanese Language House, we have many activities which you can use Japanese. For example, we watch Japanese movies, go to Japanese supermarket and cook Japanese food together and hang out and speak Japanese. You can experience Japanese culture through those activities.

I like watching movies, dramas and Animes, shopping (especially shoes and one piece dress!) and listening to music. I like Japanese songs a lot but also other countries music, like Sigur Ros or K-pop and so on. I love Karaoke so if I can, I really want to go to karaoke with you! Also I love being a Japanese teacher because I can communicate with people from other countries in Japanese even I cannot speak their languages and get to know each other’s culture or personality.

I am here to introduce Japanese culture and help you improve your Japanese skill. If you have any question or you are interested in Japanese language/culture, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at! I will be more than happy to help you!

I am looking forward to meeting you!
