The minor in the Humanities seeks to develop an intellectual culture where we better understand how texts, historical events, and human experience interact across disciplinary boundaries (e.g., the idea of the Baroque in music and art, class conflict in as seen in political philosophy and history, social justice in French literature, the human relationship with nature in a religious content). In consultation with the committee chair, you will design your own program of study (see Declaring the Minor) and submit it to the oversight committee for suggestions and eventual approval.
