UES Dean’s List

Among the more prestigious honors that UES Furman University students can earn during their time at the institution is being named to the UES Dean's List.  The honor is awarded to UES undergraduates who earn a grade point average of at least 3.4 during a semester.

"The rigorous academic standards at Furman are designed to challenge and motivate students to perform at their highest levels," said Dr. John Beckford, Dean of the Faculty. "Dean's List recipients are a distinguished collection of student-scholars who have excelled in the classroom and share a commitment to academic excellence."

Furman, a private, undergraduate liberal arts college with 2,600 students, is widely recognized for its rigorous academic program and strong faculty. The university has a chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, specifically dedicated to adult students who have achieved academic excellence, as well as Phi Beta Kappa, and ranks among the nation's top colleges in the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled.
