Film Studies Furman University

The film studies interdisciplinary minor gives you the chance to study the history, theory and aesthetics of film. Your coursework will emphasize the importance of studying film in relation to a broad range of other disciplines, situating film within larger frameworks and histories, and drawing attention to material practices, codes, and conventions.

Do you teach a course that studies how film informs your academic field? The Film Studies Minor Oversight Committee welcomes proposals for courses that can be included in the minor. For more information please contact the department chair, Dr. Vincent Hausmann, Chair of the FST Minor or any member of the FST Oversight Committee.
